Coping With Cancer

The diagnosis of cancer usually comes as a shock and causes fears, and not only to the patient. Initial confusion is common. This is why we have developed printed materials that give explanations about cancer and its treatment and allow parents access to information on how to approach the disease.

The diagnosis and treatment of childhood cancers takes time, and there are both short-term and long-term side effects.

Gradually, parents realize that their child has cancer and nothing can change it. At this point they begin to cope with the diagnosis and their feelings about it.
