Childhood Cancer in ArgentinaChildhood Cancer in Argentina Cancer is an increasing cause of disease-related death in childhood within developing countries. It is a fact that inequalities that can be seen between developed and undeveloped countries as regards fair access to treatment are replicated between countries in the same region and between cities within the same country. And Argentina is an example of this situation. Death rate research shows that Buenos Aires has the same death rate as that in developed countries. Research carried out in the main public hospitals of Buenos Aires shows similar results to those obtained in recognized European hospitals. Nevertheless, this situation is not the same throughout the rest of the country. The quantity and quality of health care centers in other provinces of Argentina remains insufficient. Consequently, the possibility of being diagnosed inn time and accessing treatments is seriously diminished.
